Pricing is volume-based — by the quarter, half, or full truckload. We give you a free, firm on-site quote before any work starts, so there are no surprise charges. Single-item pickups have a standard minimum; combining items usually brings the per-item cost down.

Is the on-site quote firm?

Yes — unless you add items mid-load. If scope changes, we re-quote before continuing so you never see a surprise on the invoice.

Do you charge hourly or by weight?

Neither — we quote by volume (truck space consumed). Hourly encourages us to work slow; weight punishes heavy items like tile. Volume is the honest middle ground.

Are you cheaper than renting a dumpster?

For small-to-mid jobs, usually yes. You skip the delivery fee, permit, and multi-day rental cost. For very large scopes (full roof tear-offs, major demos), a roll-off may price better — we'll tell you honestly during the quote.

How fast can you come?

Same-day slots are usually available if you book before 10 AM on a weekday. Next-day is standard across our full DMV service area — Washington DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. For larger estate-scale cleanouts, we recommend 48–72 hours so we can allocate the right-size truck and crew.

Do you work weekends?

Saturdays yes, same 7 AM–7 PM window. Sundays we're closed so our crews get a day off.

Do I need to be home during pickup?

Not necessarily — if items are in a garage, driveway, or other accessible area, you can leave instructions and we'll handle it. For in-home pickups, a 5-minute walk-through is all we need.

What if I need you at a specific time?

We book in 2-hour windows. For time-critical jobs (real-estate closing that afternoon, photographer arriving the next morning), let us know up front and we'll slot the job at the start or end of a window.

What do you take?

Furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, construction debris, yard waste, office furniture, retail fixtures, estate contents — see the services pages for full lists. If it'll fit in our truck and isn't hazardous, we probably take it.

What won't you take?

Accepted Answer

Hazardous materials (paint with liquid inside, oil, gas, chemicals), asbestos-containing materials, medical waste, ammunition, live animals, bed-bug-infested furniture. When in doubt, ask.

Do you take one-item pickups?

Yes. Single-item minimums apply, but a stand-alone couch, mattress, or fridge pickup is common.

What about pianos?

Upright pianos yes, for most jobs. Grand pianos we'll evaluate case-by-case — there are weight and disassembly variables. Call first.

What happens to the stuff you haul?

We route 60%+ to recycling or donation. Usable furniture goes to local non-profits (Habitat ReStore, Goodwill, community groups). Appliances and e-waste go to certified recyclers. The unusable remainder goes to properly licensed transfer stations.

Can I direct where my items go?

Within reason, yes. If you want a couch to go to a specific non-profit, flag it during the walk-through. For estate-scale jobs, we coordinate with auctioneers and donation partners in advance.

Do you provide Certificates of Insurance (COI)?

Yes, at no charge. Send us your landlord's requirements (coverage limits, additional insureds) and our carrier issues the COI before the job starts.

For established local businesses with a W-9 on file, yes. Ask when booking.

Do you do after-hours cleanouts?

Yes. Evening and weekend windows are standard for commercial tenants who don't want midday disruption. We coordinate access with your facility manager.
